Biography

            Cailey Scholts is from Randolph, New Jersey. She has been attending Morris Knolls as an accepted student of the Morris County Vocational School District Academy for the Performing Arts Dance Major since 2018. She co-choreographed multiple dance pieces alongside her peers such as Brain Storm, co-choreographed by Lisa Peluso and the Morris County School of Technology Academy of Dance at Morris Knolls High School Class of 2022, Lost & Found, choreographed by Cailey Scholts and Destiny Benway, and has performed in multiple Annual showcases with the Academy. In her time at the Academy, she has also self-choreographed, filmed, and edited the dance film Inside the Walls, along with the film Interrelation co-choreographed, filmed and edited with Fiona Quirk.

 

            She has been training in Dance at The West Side Dance Center since 2010 in various styles such as Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop. She is a member of the West Side Dance Center award winning competitive troupe and has won multiple awards as a competitive soloist. In addition to her training at The West Side Dance Center, she was also accepted into the 2018 Rioult Summer Intensive, the 2020 Martha Graham Summer Dance Intensive, and the 2020 Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet Summer Intensive. Additionally, Cailey has achieved High Honor Roll at Morris Knolls High School for 2 years and received the Summa Award in 2019 and 2020 as recognition for acquiring a GPA of 92% or higher. She was also a 2021 State Level Winner for the Dance New Jersey NHSDA State Level Award for Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement and an Honorable Mention for the 2021 NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership,

and Academic Achievement Award. In the future, she hopes to attend college and further her dance education.
